Dose administration aid

Your medicine manager

If you have several tablets to take at specific times each day it can be really confusing remembering what's what. That's where a Dose Administration Aid (DAA) would come in handy.

Simple in design, yet extremely effective, a DAA is a sealed pack which stores all your medicines for the week in correct compartments according to your prescribed dose.

At the beginning of each week, simply allocate your tablets into the correct compartments for each day / time you need to take them. Think of the DAA as your medicine manager which helps:

  • prevent mix-up of tablets or accidentally taking the wrong ones
  • reduce the chance of forgetting your tablet, taking it twice or taking it at the wrong time of the day
  • you better understand how your medicines work
  • if you travel regularly
  • if you have trouble remembering which tablet to take when.

Need some assistance?

Ask your Priceline Pharmacist to help by organising your DAA for you. We're happy to help manage your medicines.

Home medicines review

Making sure it's all working correctly

If you have any queries or concerns regarding your current medication, perhaps you'd benefit from a Home Medicines Review? Only performed via referral from your GP, a HMR is when your Priceline Pharmacist visits you at home to check that every aspect of your prescribed medicine schedule is running smoothly.

A HMR gives you ultimate peace of mind that you're managing your medicines properly. It helps you understand exactly what your medicines are for, how to take them correctly, how they interact with each other, how to prevent mix-ups and how to store them. Your Priceline Pharmacist will even take away any unused or out-of-date medicines for you.

Once your personal HMR has been completed, your Priceline Pharmacist will pass the report onto your doctor who will then create a health care action plan with you and adjust any medication problems accordingly.

An HMR is useful for people from all walks of life, especially if:

  • you've recently been discharged from hospital
  • your medicines have changed
  • your medicines need constant monitoring
  • you have ever experienced side effects from a particular drug
  • you are taking different kinds of medicines
  • you need instruction on how to use a specific health device
  • you have a chronic disease
  • you come from a non-English speaking background
