At Priceline, we're bursting with pride, because it was in one of our catalogues that CLEO Make Me a Makeup Artist winner, Jaclyn Hnitko first heard about the competition.
After proving her mettle in a series of challenges Jaclyn won the competition, showing her flair for the classic smoky eye look and earning herself $10,000 along the way, courtesy of Priceline.

Q: The competition was so tough, what do you think gave you the edge to takeout the $10,000 prize? Being confident, being current in my looks and being consistent.
Q: It’s an obvious question, but we all want to know - what do you plan on doing with your winnings? Definitely invest in my career, stock up on tools and learn everything I need to become a better makeup artist. And maybe a little holiday with any leftover money as a treat for myself!
Q: What are you most looking forward to achieving in your ambassadorial role for Priceline? Being able to meet other makeup enthusiasts and share tips and tricks through the upcoming 30 Days of Fashion & Beauty workshops.
Q: What is your favourite Priceline product? L’Oréal Studio Secrets Professional High Definition Foundation $40.95
Q: What advice would you give to other young, aspiring makeup artists out there? Don’t give up & be patient, as this seemed to pay off for me. And try to do as many test shoots as you can to build your portfolio so you can get booked for more jobs.
Q: What are your top 5 makeup kit must-haves? Foundation, eyelash curler, eyeliner, blush & makeup brushes.
Q: What is your main goal in your career as a makeup artist? To be recognised as a top makeup artist and travel around the world doing high-end fashion shows and photo shoots. |
